Well, now there’s a new way. After decades of refining her techniques, identifying exactly what worked and what didn’t, master educator Silvia Velez applied herself to the study of neuroscience—how the brain creates and stores new information. Then she wrote the book on it - Neuroscience: The Key to Better Learning.
Silvia C. Velez is a native of Medellin, Colombia and also lived in Spain and Venezuela, before coming to the United States in the year 2000. Her professional studies have been in marketing and advertising. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit and created a variety of businesses in the different countries where she lived. Ms. Velez has an innate curiosity about languages and cultures and decided to open a language school when she arrived in Denver, Colorado in the year 2000.

into the role of neuroscience to help understand the best way to improve the teaching process for languages. Her experience in learning other languages formed the basis for her to create a new revolutionary system.
Ms. Velez wanted to “refresh” methods used by language teachers in order to have an approach which is less academic and more based on the new discoveries in neuroscience. Her methodology pulls from the latest research on second language acquisition in the human brain. She calls her unique system Brain Path Language®, or BPL®.
